Browser Settings:
The PAUP download page changes periodically to reflect recent developments. Some browsers, however, will cache pages indefinitely and as a result will display the old download page complete with the old updater links. If you receive a message that a link is no longer available, try changing your browser's settings so that the newest page is displayed. For example:
Internet Explorer:
Version 5.x -- Mac OS X
- Goto "Explorer" > "Preferences ..."
- Under "Cache" deselect "Never" and select either "Once per session" or "Always"
Version 5.x -- Mac Classic
- Goto "Edit" > "Preferences ..."
- Under "Cache" deselect "Never" and select either "Once per session" or "Always"
Version 5.x -- Windows
- Goto "Tools" > "Internet Options"
- Click on the "General" tab and click the "Settings" button under "Temporary Internet Files"
- Change the "Check for newer versions of stored pages:" option to "Automatically."
Netscape Communicator:
- Goto "Edit" > "Preferences"
- Goto "Advanced" > "Cache"
- Make sure the "Document in cache is compared to document on network:" option is set to "Every time"
